Life at CIBC Capital Markets

Investing in our Communities and Corporate Giving is a Priority

CIBC’s community investment strategy is focused on three priority areas: Kids, Cures and Community.

This enables us to make a significant impact on key issues important across Canada, while still being responsive to local community needs. Our approach continues to support a deeper commitment to what matters to our clients, employees and communities. We care about:

  • Nurturing and educating Canada’s children and young adults so they can build a better future
  • Bringing hope and support to those affected by cancer and together finding a cure
  • The communities we live and work in, striving each day to make them stronger

Flagship Programs

Our employees and retirees demonstrate their volunteer spirit by generously sharing their time and talents with a wide variety of charitable and not-for-profit organizations through employee-led fundraising initiatives, as well as CIBC’s Employee volunteer program, where an employee can chose to volunteer at a charity of their choice and CIBC rewards the charity with up-to $500 in recognition of our employees volunteer efforts.

Some CIBC’s flagship programs include:

Since its inception, CIBC Miracle Day has raised nearly $85 million for children's charities across Canada and $234 million globally

Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure

The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure® is Canada's largest single day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, health education and advocacy programs. In 2017, CIBC will proudly mark its 21st year anniversary as title sponsor.
