Harry Culham

Senior Executive Vice-President and Group Head, CIBC Capital Markets

Harry Culham is responsible for CIBC Capital Markets which provides integrated credit and capital markets products, investment banking advisory services,corporate lending and top-ranked research to corporate, government and institutional clients around the world. In this role, Mr. Culham is Chair and CEO of CIBC World Markets Inc., and is a member of CIBC’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining CIBC in May 2008, Mr. Culham has held senior roles in capital markets with global banks in Europe and Asia. He started his career with CIBC in the graduate training program.

Mr. Culham chairs the CIBC Children’s Foundation, is a member of the Faculty Advisory Board for the Sauder School of Business and a member of the Women in Capital Markets Advisory Council. He is also on the boards of Mount Sinai Hospital and Branksome Hall. He graduated from the University of British Columbia, Sauder School of Business, and is a Portfolio Management Foundation (PMF) alumnus and Leslie Wong Fellow.

Roman S. Dubczak

Managing Director and Head, Global Investment Banking, CIBC Capital Markets

Roman Dubczak is responsible for all capital markets financing and advisory activities at CIBC. He is a member of CIBC's Operating Committee, the Capital Markets Executive Committee and a board member of CIBC World Markets Inc. Mr. Dubczak joined CIBC in 1992 and has worked in a variety of capital markets roles. He was previously responsible for CIBC's Global Equities, Equity Capital Markets and Corporate Debt Origination franchises. Prior to joining CIBC, Mr. Dubczak had roles in corporate development, portfolio management and assurance.

Mr. Dubczak holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto (St. Michael's College) and a Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, as well as CA, CPA, CFA and ICD.D designations.

Mr. Dubczak is a board member and the past Chair of the St. Joseph's Health Centre Foundation, the CIBC Children's Foundation, the Fraser Institute and past Chair of the Investment Industry Association of Canada.

Christian Exshaw

Managing Director and Head, Global Markets and Innovation, CIBC Capital Markets

Christian Exshaw is responsible for capital markets sales, trading, research and related activities globally across asset classes. He is a member of CIBC’s Operating Committee and the Capital Markets Executive Committee.

Mr. Exshaw joined CIBC in 2008 and previously led the bank’s Capital Markets Trading business. Prior to CIBC, he was Managing Director at Merrill Lynch in London responsible for sales and structuring. Before joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Exshaw was Managing Director at Dresdner Kleinwort in London where he held a number of senior positions across Global Markets. He began his career in capital markets as an options trader and structurer.

Mr. Exshaw currently serves on the Board of Directors for Capitalize for Kids, Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada and the TMX Group. From 2012 to 2014, Mr. Exshaw acted as Chair of the Capital Markets United Way Campaign. He holds a Masters of Science in Risk Management and Financial Instruments, and a Masters in Finance from the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises in France.

Susan Rimmer

Managing Director and Head, Global Corporate Banking, CIBC Capital Markets

Susan Rimmer has taken on leadership of CIBC’s Global Corporate Banking team as Managing Director & Head, Global Corporate Banking. In this role, Susan is responsible for CIBC’s corporate banking business across Canada, USA, Europe & Asia.

Most recently, Ms. Rimmer was Managing Director & Global Head of CIBC’s Debt Capital Markets business. Her responsibilities included investment grade, high yield and government finance fixed income origination & syndication across Canada, USA and the UK. She joined CIBC following a 15 year career in global capital markets and investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London, UK, & Toronto, Canada.

Susan is a member of the CIBC Operating Committee and the Capital Markets Executive Committee. She was appointed to the Board of Directors for CIBC Mellon November 1, 2015. Susan serves as Co-Chair of the annual CIBC United Way Campaign. She holds an Honors BA from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

Scott A. Wilson

Managing Director and Head, U.S. Capital Markets & COO, Wealth Management, U.S. Region CIBC

Scott Wilson is Head of U.S. Capital Markets and Chief Operating Officer, U.S. Private Wealth Management. He oversees the strategic vision and growth of all CIBC Capital Markets activities in the U.S. region. He also oversees the management and development of the U.S. Wealth operating platform as the business focuses on client-centric growth. Mr. Wilson serves on the CIBC U.S. Region Executive Committee, Global Capital Markets Management Committee and U.S. Wealth Operating Committee.

Previously, Mr. Wilson led CIBC’s Capital Markets activities in Europe and served as CAO for global Capital Markets. Prior to that, Mr. Wilson was Head of Legal and Compliance for CIBC’s Asia-Pacific and Europe regions.

Mr. Wilson began his career as a lawyer in Washington, D.C. working as a legal and regulatory advisor.

Mr. Wilson holds a Juris Doctorate from UCLA’s School of Law, as well as an MBA issued jointly from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology. He also holds a BA from the University of California and is a member of the California Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association.

Wayne Lee

Managing Director and Head, Europe & Asia Pacific Region, CIBC Capital Markets

Wayne Lee is Managing Director and Head, Europe & Asia Pacific Region. He is responsible for CIBC's business and operations in the Europe and Asia Pacific Region, with offices in London, Hong Kong, Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, Beijing and Shanghai.

Mr. Lee joined CIBC in 2001 and has held increasingly senior and international positions. His previous roles at CIBC included Head of Asia Pacific and Chief Financial Officer of Capital Markets, International Operations, and Strategy and Corporate Development. Prior to joining CIBC, he was with PwC in Toronto.

Mr. Lee is Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of CIBC World Markets Plc and is a member of CIBC Capital Markets Executive Committee. He is a member of the Male Allies of The Women Foundation, promoting gender equality in and out of the workplace. In addition, Mr. Lee also served as Vice Chairman and member of the Executive Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.

Mr. Lee received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the McGill University (Montreal) and is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst. He has lived and worked in Toronto, New York and Hong Kong, and is now based in London.

Ian Matthews

Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer, CIBC Capital Markets

Ian Matthews is Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at CIBC Capital Markets. He is responsible for a broad range of operational support activities globally that help support our Capital Markets business.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Matthews was Managing Director and CAO, CIBC Capital Markets - Canada. He has over 30 years of industry experience and has held progressively senior and international roles at CIBC, including Head, Capital Markets Business Management, CAO for Global Capital Markets in Asia, and Head of Canadian and International Conduit Administration.

Mr. Matthews began his career in banking in 1985, joining CIBC’s Corporate Banking Management Development program before moving into CIBC’s Capital Markets business.

Mr. Matthews is a member of the CIBC Capital Markets Management Committee. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Financial Administrative Studies from the University of Western Ontario. He has also completed the Executive Development Program in Finance from Queen’s University.
